Hi! We're Objects In Motion.
Objects in Motion is the Official Juggling Club of the University of Florida. We're a student-run, no-holds-barred sports and performing arts club dedicated to the practice and teaching of all types of juggling.
We welcome all new members, and all interests even vaguely associated with any form of object manipulation. If your hobby or skill involves any "objects" that might, at any time, be "in motion," then you should probably be in our club. We encourage anyone who is interested in us, or in learning how to juggle, to stop by one of our meetings and jOIM in the fun!
"Can I Learn To Juggle?"
Of course! Anyone can learn to juggle, and most jugglers in the whole world, including the ones in our club, are happy and excited to share their knowledge with others.
If you're trying to learn from scratch, it may take some time to master the basics. Some people learn in 1 day, most people can learn in 1-2 weeks, and a few take several months. We know that there is always more to learn, so if you want to come down and show us a thing or two, go ahead! We'd appreciate it!
"How Do I Join OIM?"
So, you want to join our club - that's great! Just email us and say so! Our email address is UFJuggling@gmail.com. Say something like:
"I want to join the juggling club! Please add me to your email listserv so I'll get updates about meetings and events. Best, Juggle P. McJuggleGuy"
Once you email us, we will add you to our listserve and you can be an official member of OIM. You don't have to be a member to come to our meetings, but our weekly update might come in handy if there's a room change or cancellation.
